THOSE THAT GOD FAVORS

The Qur'an indicates in detail the merits that He would like to see in a man. This is spiritual credit earned by performance of righteous acts by the exercise of which the sublimated nafs is purified. In order that creatures may attain perfection, they have to go through the experience of forces diametrically opposed in nature; namely jalal (the divine wrath), the negative pole of sublimity and jamal (divine beauty) the positive pole of perfection). This is the fundamental law of creation. (See, the present book, Laws of Creation).

Piety comes at the head of meritorious acts. The sharers of their wealth, the doers of good deeds, the penitents, the patients, the resigned, the just and the clean in body and soul are persons favored by God. The pious is the person who embodies all these good points. The key to bliss is piety.

In order to deserve God's favor one should know well the characteristics implied and described by love in the Qur'an. And those who strive in Our (cause) "We will certainly guide them to our Paths: For verily Allah is with those who do right" Ankebūt (29/69) The following are the topics discussed here.
