THE RESIGNED

To be resigned is to give (oneself) over unresistingly, typically to effects of an indicated dominance, control, or influence, with stoic acceptance, calm resignation, or confidence. If one resigns to God, he gives himself over to the care of God. When thou hast Taken a decision put thy trust in Allah. (3/159) To leave everything to God leads one to laziness and lethargy. The wrong interpretation of such a policy has caused the Muslim states to decline. The believer should therefore formulate his decision in compliance with the divine law and try to execute his plan, hoping that God will aid him in the realization of his plans.

GOD LOVES THE RESIGNED

Allah loves those who put their trust (in Him). (3/159)
… in Allah should the faithful (Ever) put their trust. (3/122)

God favors those that put their trust to Him and promises them success in afterlife.

ONLY IN GOD SHALL YOU PUT YOUR TRUST

But follow that which comes to thee by inspiration from thy Lord: for Allah is well acquainted with (all) that ye do. And put thy trust in Allah, and enough is Allah as a disposer of affairs. (33/2-3)
…Then, when thou hast Taken a decision put thy trust in Allah… (3/159)

You should obey the revelations of the Lord. Live according to the injunctions of the Qur'an. Rely only to the Creator of the Universe. God will grant his servant such things that he had and cold not have dreamt of.

Your decisions should conform to the revelations and when you launch on a new venture rely on God alone. God Almighty will, sooner or later, lead the believer to success. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not. (2/216)

RELY ON GOD

If Allah helps you, none can overcome you: If He forsakes you, who is there, after that, that can help you? in Allah, then, Let believers put their trust. (3/160)
"Nothing will happen to us except what Allah has decreed for us: He is our protector": and on Allah let the Believers put their trust. (9/51)
And obey not (the behests) of the Unbelievers and the Hypocrites, and heed not their annoyances, but put thy Trust in Allah. For enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs. (33/48)

God Almighty is our Lord. He it is that protects us, supports us and encompasses the believers with his infinite mercy. Therefore do not trust the hypocrites and mischief makers. Let believers put all heir trust in God, and only in God who supplies us what we need for sustenance or support. Abraham and his folk had once prayed God in the following words: "Our Lord! in Thee do we trust, and to Thee do we turn in repentance: to Thee is (our) Final Goal." (60/4)

REWARD OR PUNISHMENT A CONSEQUENCE OF ONE'S OWN DOINGS

Then shall anyone who has done an atom's weight of good, see it! And anyone who has done an atom's weight of evil, shall see it. (99/7-8)

The Qur'an is explicit about a man's receiving a reward or being subjected to a punishment judged according to his actions. Those who put their trust in God will be the winners, while the achievements of disbelievers and of the ungrateful will come to naught.

However, to put one's trust in God without doing anything will turn the individual into an irresponsible or weak idler who has failed to understand the wisdom that lies behind putting one's trust in God.
