Kuran'da Sevgi

RUH (soul, spirit)

Ruh is that vital element that animates the body. Man's soul (ruh) is immortal but his body is perishable. There is not detailed in formation about ruh in the Qur'an.

They ask thee concerning the Spirit (of inspiration). Say: "The Spirit (cometh) by command of my Lord: of knowledge it is only a little that is communicated to you, (O men!)" (17/85)

“By command of my Lord” means that it originates from God who has created me, who has sent prophets and taught me the divine law. I feel, sense and consequently know therefore the presence of the spirit that has its origin in the Divine Being. “Of knowledge it is only a little that is communicated to you” means that I have but scanty knowledge about the truth, but I feel that ruh (soul or spirit) is the animating positive force and sublimates the nafs (self). I know that there is a communication between man and God who has. Behold! thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man, from sounding clay from mud moulded into shape; The ruh is immortal and conceals all the attributes of God, i.e. of the manifestations of its Creator.

I BREATHED INTO HIM OF MY SPIRIT

Behold! thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man, from sounding clay from mud moulded into shape; "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him." (15/28-29)
We breathed into her of Our spirit, and We made her and her son a sign for all peoples. (21/91)

God had also breathed into Mary of His Spirit. The Qur'an shows that only Adam and Jesus had had this privilege. The communication between man and God is a consequence of the divine attribute of the former's spirit. . It was We Who created man, and We know what dark suggestions his soul makes to him: for We are nearer to him than (his) jugular vein. (50/16) The coexistence of God and man is mentioned in many verses. And He is with you wheresoever ye may be. (57/4) Seest thou not that Allah doth know (all) that is in the heavens and on earth? There is not a secret consultation between three, but He makes the fourth among them, - Nor between five but He makes the sixth,- nor between fewer nor more, but He is in their midst, wheresoever they be: In the end will He tell them the truth of their conduct, on the Day of Judgment. For Allah has full knowledge of all things. (58/7) Man, enclosed by walls that their nafses raise do not realize this fact. Only those that have cleansed them and become perfect and mature are in direct communication with the Divine Being.

THEY SHALL BE RETURNED TO GOD

He is the irresistible, (watching) from above over His worshippers, and He sets guardians over you. At length, when death approaches one of you, Our angels take his soul, and they never fail in their duty. Then are men returned unto Allah, their protector, the (only) reality: Is not His the command? and He is the swiftest in taking account. (6/61-62)
Who say, when afflicted with calamity: "To Allah We belong, and to Him is our return"(2/156)

After death the ruh returns to His Creator. In His presence shall all men gather on the Judgment Day.The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), Until ye visit the graves. But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality). (102/1-3) A tradition of the Prophet says. “Die before you actually die”.
